Okobi out, Oshoala in as Waldrum names 23 Super Falcons for FIFA Women’s World Cup

Head Coach Randy Waldrum has named Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala, veteran defender Onome Ebi and Rasheedat Ajibade in his list of 23 Super Falcons for this year’s FIFA World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand.

Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Oluwatosin Demehin and Osinachi Ohale, midfielders Halimatu Ayinde and Christy Ucheibe, and forwards Francisca Ordega and Desire Oparanozie are also named.

However, there is no place for dependable midfielder Ngozi Okobi. Her exclusion from the final Super Falcons World Cup list has raised eyebrows.
