Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi have left Nigeria’s Super Eagles camp in Antalya, while goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been ruled out of Tuesday’s friendly against Jordan through injury.
Ajayi exited for personal reasons, just as Onyemaechi departed after the birth of his child. Both defenders featured in Friday’s 2-1 win over Iran, with Ajayi substituted in the second half for Emmanuel Fernandez’s debut and Onyemaechi playing the full 90 minutes.
Okoye suffered a thigh injury in training and will miss the Jordan fixture. The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations goalkeeper had started against Iran.
Despite losing two defensive options and a goalkeeper, coach Eric Chelle will not call up reinforcements. The Frenchman will continue with the players currently in camp.
