Barcelona produced a confident fightback at the new Spotify Camp Nou as Dani Olmo’s brilliance powered a 3-1 victory over Alaves.
The night began in chaotic fashion for the home side, yet it ended with complete control. Alaves stunned the stadium in the opening minute as Pablo Ibanez poked home from close range. His milestone 100th league appearance delivered an unexpected twist, but Barcelona refused to panic.
Their response was quick, composed, and full of attacking intent. Star boy Lamine Yamal levelled with a ruthless finish after finding space at the far post. The teenager connected perfectly with Robert Lewandowski’s clever ball, which sliced open the Alaves defence.
Olmo soon completed the turnaround with a calm strike into the bottom corner. Raphinha’s cutback created the chance, and the Spain forward made no mistake.
Barcelona kept pressing afterward, and their confidence steadily grew as Flick’s structure took shape.

Olmo seals dominant second half as Barca extend remarkable scoring run
The second half brought more control from Barcelona, although Alaves tried to stay compact. Flick urged his players to maintain tempo, and they responded with consistent pressure as every Barcelona attack carried danger, yet Alaves held on until the closing moments.
In added time, Olmo struck again with a composed low finish past Antonio Sivera. Barcelona pushed forward until the final whistle and deserved their comfortable margin.
The result lifts Barcelona two points clear at the top of La Liga. However, Real Madrid could reclaim first place if they defeat Girona on Sunday. Even so, Flick’s men are developing momentum and demonstrating impressive attacking consistency.
Barcelona have now scored in 34 straight league matches, producing 91 goals across that span. It is their best scoring sequence since their 2019 run under Ernesto Valverde, when they netted 99 across 37 games.
Barça will look to extend that streak when they host Atletico Madrid on December 2.
