Omah Lay doesn’t feel loved

Nigerian recording artiste, Omah Lay has stated that he doesn’t feel loved.

The ā€˜Boy Aloneā€™ crooner said he doesnā€™t feel loved especially by the media and the music industry gatekeepers.

In an interview with Amazon Music, Omah Lay explained that to escape from what he described as a ā€˜sad realityā€™, he lives in a fantasy world most of the time.

ā€œI have my fans, family and team but I donā€™t feel loved especially by the media and the people that call themselves the gatekeepers,ā€ he said.

ā€œThis is something Iā€™ve never talked about. Iā€™m that artist that lives in a fantasy world. I just live in my head 90 per cent of the time.ā€

The Nigerian singer-songwriter also said being a Nigerian and travelling with a Nigerian passport is challenging.

ā€œTravelling especially being a Nigerian and having the Nigerian passport, I have just seen the cruelty of the world so much.

ā€œThe immigration officers often maltreat me once they see the Nigerian passport until they realise that Iā€™m Omah Lay thatā€™s when the treatment changes.”
