Ondo CJ to swear in Aiyedatiwa as governor

Ondo State Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa will be sworn in today as governor following the demise of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. 

Arrangements are underway to inaugurate Mr Aiyedatiwa who was on Christmas break in his hometown before the news of Akeredolu’s death broke.

Mr Aiyedatiwa will soon be in Akure for the swearing-in ceremony, tentatively scheduled for 4 pm.

Chief Judge Justice Olusegun Odusola will preside over the exercise.

Akeredolu, aged 67, passed away today.

Mr Aiyedatiwa assumed the role of acting governor after the formal transfer of power on December 13.
