Stormzy’s new single ‘Hide & Seek’ sees him team up with British singer Ayanna and Nigerian singers Oxlade, Tems and Teni for the release, and will feature on his third LP.
‘Hide & Seek’ is a reflective song where Stormzy meditate on how to revive a dying relationship. Stormzy perceives his girl needs some space to heal and realign. He will always be a safe haven for her, whether or not she wants to re-engage.
Stormzy split from his long-term girlfriend, TV personality Maya Jama, after a four-year romance in August 2919. He’s not had a public relationship since. So, is Stormzy reflecting on his struggles to move on from Maya after their breakup?
British duo, Stormzy and Ayanna wrote ‘Hide & Seek’ with Tems. The Nigerian R&B and Afrobeats singer-songwriter rose to prominence in 2021 when she featured on Wizkid’s hit single Essence.
The video for the hit single ‘Hide & Seek was also directed by Nigerian Filmmaker and producer, Meji Alabi.
Stormzy’s highly-anticipated new album ‘This Is What I Mean’ is also out on the 25th November via Def Jam.
