Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to community-driven development, pledging to prioritise initiatives that directly impact the lives of residents across the state.
Governor Oyebanji gave the assurance on Wednesday while receiving a delegation from Okemesi Ekiti in his office.
The delegation, led by former Attorney General of the state, Olawale Fapounda, was in Ado-Ekiti to express gratitude for the infrastructure projects executed in their community under the current administration.
The governor emphasised that grassroots development remains a key pillar of his government’s agenda. He vowed that no community would be left behind, stressing his commitment to delivering meaningful projects in every part of the state.
“I’m excited. People often say political office is a thankless job, so for a community to come forward and say ‘thank you’ means a lot. It touched my heart, and I’m truly grateful to the leaders of Okemesi.
“We are encouraged and happy that the little we are doing is connecting with the people and meeting their aspirations. My promise is to keep working hard to fulfil the needs of our people, because that is why we were elected,” he added.

Oyebanji also announced that more projects were in the pipeline for Okemesi, including the construction of the Okemesi–Ido Ile road, reconnection of the town to the national electricity grid, and the rehabilitation of a major water tank.
Speaking, Fapounda said the visit was to commend the Governor for what he described as unprecedented development in Okemesi.
He cited the construction of the Okemesi–Itawure Road, the comprehensive renovation of the Okemesi General Hospital, and electrification projects as some of the tangible benefits the community had received.
Fapounda also assured the governor of the community’s continued support beyond 2026.
