The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ademola Ojo, announced the development on Friday, stating that it was in line with Governor Seyi Makindeā€™s promise to strengthen the workforce at the local government level.

The governor had granted approval for the conversion of ad hoc staff in the stateā€™s 33 local government councils last October. Ojo assured that due process was followed in the employment process.

He further stated that appointment letters for the newly converted workers would be available for collection from Monday, February 3, to Thursday, February 6, 2025. However, he emphasized that collection by proxy would not be allowed.

ā€œAll successful applicants are to collect their appointment letters at the Local Government Service Commission between 10:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m daily,” he said.
