Chris Okafor, the General Overseer of Grace Nation International, has spoken publicly following the controversy involving Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.
Addressing the congregation during his wedding thanksgiving service on Sunday, December 21, the Lagos-based cleric expressed gratitude to supporters and offered an apology to anyone who felt offended by photos from his wedding.
Speaking at the event, he said: “The devil became angry with just this little one we showed, my wife and I will tell our story at the right time. ‘I want to thank everyone, whether you are happy thank you, whether you are still not happy, thank you. In anyway you believe we have offended you, we are sorry.”
Okafor’s comments come amid a legal battle with Ogala, who has filed a lawsuit against him, demanding N1 billion in damages over an alleged breach of a promise to marry.

The actress has claimed that she had been in a relationship with the cleric since 2017. Her allegations surfaced last weekend after a video of Okafor’s engagement to another woman went viral on social media.
Ogala further alleged that she ended her previous marriage at Okafor’s insistence and accused him of betraying her after years of intimacy and assurances of marriage. She said the situation has taken a toll on her mental and emotional well-being.
In addition, the actress accused the pastor of sharing explicit videos of her without consent, as well as subjecting her to harassment and financial exploitation. She also claimed that she used her personal funds to assist Okafor and his associates in securing a contract, but was not fully reimbursed.
Despite the ongoing controversy, photos from Okafor’s lavish wedding, reportedly held on Tuesday, December 16, began circulating online the following day.
In reaction, Ogala shared bedroom photos of the pastor and threatened to release more content. She has since been arrested.
