Tobi Adegboyega, a Nigerian-born pastor based in the United Kingdom, has spoken publicly about his battle with cancer.
The founder of the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), now operating as The Nation Family, made this revelation during a pre-recorded sermon shared with his congregation on Thursday.
Known for his lavish lifestyle and a ministry that targets young people, Pastor Adegboyega also disclosed that he recently underwent a major surgical procedure.
He said, “I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right. I’ve been dealing with cancer for the past few months or even more. I just had a major surgery, that’s why I am not there today.
“I have just fought the battle, and I feel the verdict to continue to live was given to me by God for a new level, for a new stage.”

As part of his response to the illness, the pastor pledged £100,000 to support cancer treatment and raise awareness, with a focus on helping young people affected by the disease.
In 2024, Adegboyega was at the centre of another controversy after reports surfaced about his deportation from the UK.
He was said to have lost his legal challenge against deportation following allegations of involvement in a £1.87 million fraud case.
However, he dismissed the reports, describing the situation as an “ongoing issue” that is yet to be concluded in court. He also claimed the fraud accusations were made by “disgruntled members” of his church.
