Peter Obi, Labour Party’s presidential candidate pays visit to Femi Kuti (Photos)

Peter Obi is the presidential candidate for Labour Party.

On Tuesday, August 17, he paid a visit to the home of legendary Nigerian musician and multi-instrumentalist, Femi Kuti. The visitation is coming several days after the supporters of the presidential candidate, Peter Obi who identify as ‘Obidients’ threatened to burn down the Afrikan Shrine following his alleged statement about their favourite candidate.

Kuti refuted the claim after a platform published a report with the headline: “Femi Kuti says Obidients are zombies.”

The platform claimed the eldest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti ‘berated Obi’s supporters also known as “Obidients,” as zombies’.

Reacting, Femi Kuti tagged the platform ‘liars’, wondering why they would willfully choose to ‘take his words out of context.”

The former Anambra state governor visited Afrika Shrine, the home of Afrobeat connoisseur, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti located in Ikeja, Lagos state to discuss his plans with Femi Kuti.

The former Anambra governor gave the assurance when he visited the musician, according to a video clip online. Others present during the meeting include Charles Oputa, known better as Charly Boy, among others.
