An early morning fire destroyed the only Trademore Estate market, in Lugbe, Abuja.
The blaze reportedly began around 3:30 a.m., coinciding with the restoration of electricity by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).
However, the precise cause of the fire remains unknown at the time of this report.
Details about the extent of damage or items lost in the fire were not immediately available.
It took firefighters from the Federal Fire Service stations in EFCC and Sauka two hours to bring the fire under control.
