Phyna, BBNaija winner responds to allegations she neglected her family after winning reality show

Phyna whose real name is Josephine Otabor emerged winner of the 2022 Big Brother Naija Level Up edition.

There are allegations that the Nigerian reality star has failed to return home since she emerged winner of the reality show in 2022, amassing a total of N100 million grand prize.

A newspaper reported that Mr. Felix Otabor, Phyna’s father, lamented in an interview that his daughter “disappeared into thin air as soon as the prize money was handed over to her, and she never returned to her parents to butter their bread.”

He was also quoted to have said Phyna neither calls nor answers their calls since she left the BBNaija house.

Reacting in a now-deleted post on X, the Nigerian reality star threatened to take legal action against the newspaper that published the interview.

In other news, the ongoing Big Brother Naija Allstars competition will come to a conclusion on Sunday, October 1.

Equally, six finalists will be battling for the grand prize worth N120 million. The finalists are as follow- Mercy Eke, Ilebaye, CeeC, Cross, Pere Egbi and Adekunle Olopade.

The BBNaija Allstars edition kicked off on Sunday, July 23. It is the eighth edition of the renowned Nigerian reality show.
