Sixteen members-elect of the Plateau House of Assembly from the All Progressive Congress (APC) who are yet to be sworn in by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dewan visited Senator Simon Lalong, representing the South Senatorial District of the state, at his office in the National Assembly, Abuja.
According to Lalong’s Special Adviser on Media, Makut Macham, the visit occurred after the Court of Appeal rejected a motion filed by the sacked PDP members, represented by their lawyer, Garba Pwul, seeking a review of their dismissal.
The Court of Appeal dismissed their appeal, deeming it a waste of judicial time, and imposed a fine of 8 million naira on each of them.
During their visit, the 16 lawmakers expressed gratitude to Senator Lalong for his leadership of the party in the state, as well as for his encouragement, counsel, and inclusiveness.
