The Kogi State Police Command has urged Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan to call off her planned homecoming rally in the Central Senatorial District of Kogi State.
The directive follows a recent decision by the state government to prohibit political gatherings.
Commissioner of Police Miller Dantawaye relayed the message to Senator Natasha in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP William Aya, on Tuesday.
According to the statement, security reports indicate potential threats that could disrupt public order if the rally proceeds.

They stressed that the security risks linked to the rally necessitate its cancellation to prevent possible chaos.
But despite the government’s ban on political gatherings, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan has insisted that she will go ahead with her homecoming, stating that her purpose is solely to celebrate Eid with her constituents.
