Police to investigate skit maker Cute Abiola for desecrating its uniform

The Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has said popular skit maker, Abdulgafar Abiola, known as Cute Abiola will be investigated and possibly prosecuted for desecrating its uniform or accouterments.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a statement stated that Nigerians under the law have the right to enjoy fundamental human rights, but the same law prohibits them from rubbishing the police institution or grossly violating its provisions about the use of uniforms.

Olumuyiwa added that the force had already warned skit makers and filmmakers to desist from tarnishing their image with the use of uniform in an unauthorized way.

“We, therefore, vehemently condemn the contemptuous act displayed by comedian Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as “Cute Abiola,” in two recent skits posted on his social media handles on 20th and 24th July 2023,” the Force PRO added.
