Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, appeared before the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday following his surrender to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba.
His arraignment comes after the Ogun State Police Command declared him wanted in connection with an incident on February 5, 2025. Portable is accused of leading an assault on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement operation at his bar in the Sango Ota area.
The attack reportedly left some officials injured. While nine of his associates were arrested at the scene, Portable evaded capture until he voluntarily turned himself in.
