News Round The Clock (NRTC) has gathered that the Premier League fixtures schedule for the 2024/2025 season has now been announced.
The English Premier League season will begin on the 17th of August, 2024 exactly 90 days after the conclusion of lasts season and will come to an end on the 25th of May, 2025 after the usual 38-game period.
The season will consist of 33 weekend matchday, a further four scheduled for midweek and a purported Bank holiday round of games.
In consideration of the very heavily congested period, this campaign will be structured to allocate more rest periods for respective teams as no team will play less than 60 hours before their next game.
Also, the mid-season break has been scrapped in favour of a more lengthy rest period over the summer to get players up to speed after taking international inclinations.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are defending champions on the back of a fourth successive title and will look to get started on the front foot and take a trip to London to face Chelsea on August 18th.
Arne Slot has taken over the Jurgen Klopp mantle at Liverpool and will take charge of his first game away to newly promoted Ipswich United.
To this effect, five of Liverpool’s opening matchday fixtures has been to newly promoted teams.
Erik Ten Hag managed to salvage his job as Manchester United gaffer following the FA cup victory over neighbours City. United welcome Fulham at home in their opening fixture.
Italian tactician Enzo Maresca is set to begin life in West London after a very successful stint with Leicester City last season.
He’s welcomed with a baptism of fire against Manchester City at Stamford bridge.
