The excitement and drama seem to be never ending in this season’s Premier League. Week 7 is not exempt as we take a close look at Oladipupo Mojeed‘s review of the just-concluded game week.
Friday action
Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 Crystal Palace
Wolves got into the top 4 temporarily, after securing victory at home. Teenage defender, Rayan Ait Nouri scored his debut goal putting Wolves ahead in the 18th minute.
Daniel Podence doubled the lead in the 27th minute with a superb volley. Roy Hodgson finished the game with one man down after Luka Milivojevic was sent off in the 87th minute for a nasty foul on Jao Moutinho.
Premier League Week 7 Review – Saturday’s games
Sheffield United 0-1 Manchester City
Kyle Walkerās long-range strike extends Manchester Cityās unbeaten run in all competitions to 7 games with a lone goal victory over Sheffield United.

It was 45 minutes of beauty and 45 minutes of brawn for the visitors as they dominated the first half of the game. They probably deserved more than a goal at Bramall Lane.
However, they couldnāt keep the same performance in the second half, but fought their way through the game and held on to their lone-goal lead.
The win over the Blades sends them into the top half of the table while Sheffield United remains in the relegation zone. They have only to get managed to get a point in 7 games this season.
Burnley 0-3 Chelsea
The Blues put Frank Lampardās words into action as they showed against Burnley that they really are starting to gel.
Chelsea put 3 past Burnley at Turf Moor with goals from Hakim Ziyech, Kurt Zouma, and Timo Werner. The result left Burnley in the bottom with just 1 point in 6 games while Chelsea moved to 7th.
Liverpool 2-1 West Ham
The late drama keeps on coming for the Reds as they scored an 85th-minute winner against the Hammers. David Moyesā men went ahead with a smart finish through Pablo Fornals, who capitalized on Joe Gomezās poor clearance.
Liverpool however drew level just before half time as Mohammed Salah converted from the penalty spot.
While West Ham tried nicking a point from the game, Diogo Jota dashed their hopes scoring from a smart through ball from Xherdan Shqiri. Liverpool moved top of the league with their latest victory at home.
Sunday action
Aston Villa 3-4 Southampton
The match seemed sealed by the 58th minute as the Saints had already hit 4 past Aston Villa.
James Ward Prowse set up Jannik Vestergaard to open scoring before sending 2 sumptuous free-kicks into the back of the net. Danny Ings scored the fourth.
The Villains fought back as goals from Tyronne Mings, Ollie Watkins, and Jack Grealish reduced the deficit.
The loss leaves Dean Smithās men in 8th place as the Saints extend their winning run and climbing their way to 5th position.
Newcastle United 2-1 Everton
Evertonās flying start goes out the window after suffering their second defeat in a row.
Callum Wilsonās brace was enough to secure a win for the Magpies. Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a consolation goal in the last minute. The in-form Englishman now tops the goal scorers chart.
Manchester United 0-1 Arsenal
The Gunners grabbed their first league win at Old Trafford since 2006. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scored from the spot in the 69th minute.
Despite Unitedās dominance after the goal, Mikel Artetaās men were able to hold out the lead. The victory sends Arsenal 9th place as Manchester United continue to wallow 15th place. United has earned just a point in their first 4 home games of the season.

Tottenham 2-1 Brighton
Jose Mourinhoās men extended their winning run as they claimed a win over Brighton on Sunday.
Harry Kane put Spurs forward in the 13th minute, converting from the penalty spot before Brightonās Tariq Lamptey leveled the scoreline in the 56th minute.
Gareth Bale then dashed Graham Potterās hopes of taking something away from the game as he headed home Sergio Reguilionās cross in the 73rd minute. Spurs now sit 3rd on the league table with 14 points.
Fulham 2-0 West Bromwich Albion
Fulham earned their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over West Brom on Monday.
Two first half goals from Bobby Reid and Ola Aina handed Scott Parkerās men their first victory of the season. The win pushed them out of the relegation zone as Burnley dropped to the bottom.
The Cottagers could have added a 3rd goal but for two goal-line clearances in the 80th minute by the visitors.
Apart from Conor Townsendās effort that hit the woodwork, Fulham dominated most of the game.
Leeds United 1-4 Leicester City
Leicester City climbs 2nd after their victory over Leeds United at Elland Road. The visitors took the lead as early as the 2nd minute when Jamie Vardy set up Harvey Barnes to score the first goal of the game.
Leeds Unitedās Patrick Bamford bottled a clear cut chance and was quickly punished for it as the Foxes added another from the resulting counter-attack through Youri Tielemans. Stuart Dallas beat Kasper Schmeichel from outside the box to pull one back for the home side just after half time.
However, Jamie Vardy extended Leicester Cityās lead as he tapped in from close range in the 76th minute. Youri Tielemens concluded the scoring as he converted from the penalty spot in the 90th minute. The result sends Leeds to 12th place.
We round up Premier League Week 7 review with a massive 30 goals scored by all the teams. This is one of the highest scoring weeks so far this season.
