AC Milan players celebrate after 2-1 win over Roma

A fantastically entertaining match at the Stadio Olimpico comes to a close as Milan win their 10th match in 11-beating Roma by a score of 2-1.

Ibrahimovic’s first-half free-kick goal gave the visitors the lead, which Kessie doubled from the penalty spot after the veteran Swedish striker was brought down in the area by Ibanez.

Despite the Rossoneri going down to 10 men for 25 minutes after Hernandez was sent off for a second bookable offence – Roma were unable to fashion many clear-cut chances relying on shots from distance to test Tatarusanu.

Former Rossoneri winger El Shaarawy was able to cut the deficit deep in injury time, but Mourinho’s side were unable to find the equaliser as the Giallorossi are defeated for the second time in four Serie A games.

The win puts Milan Joint-top while Roma stay fourth.

On Thursday, Roma hosts Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League, ahead of a trip to Venezia the following Sunday. Milan will host Porto at the San Siro on Wednesday before hosting Inter in a derby match on Sunday.

Inter Milan 2-0 Udinese

Frustration for Luca Gotti, whose team kept their opponents at bay for an hour, but were unable to score against the Milanese. They’ll leave now to gather their belongings.

Simone Inzaghi, on the other hand, will consider the job done, despite the fact that his team made things difficult for themselves. Still, three points is three points, and they’re on their way up.

German Bundesliga

FC Union Berlin 2-5 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich didn’t make it easy for themselves, but after a dramatic 5-2 triumph over Union Berlin, they are back on the winning track.

After 35 minutes, the visitors appeared to be in control, leading 3-0 thanks to a brace from Lewandowski and a strike from Sane.

The hosts, on the other hand, came back to make it 3-1 right before halftime. On the hour mark, Coman doubled Bayern’s lead, but a fast attack by Ryerson made it 4-2 just five minutes later. Union had several chances to score additional goals, but they couldn’t get past Neuer, and Muller made it 5-2 late in the game to seal the victory.

Bayern Munich is still in first place in the Bundesliga, one point ahead of Borussia Dortmund, and will play Freiburg next weekend. They will now focus on the Champions League, as they welcome Benfica to the stadium on Tuesday.

Union, meanwhile, has dropped to sixth place and will play Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday before returning to Bundesliga action against Koln the following weekend.
