Preview of Premier League GameWeek 19

We look forward to a game week full of action as this round includes the famous clash between bitter rivals Manchester United and Liverpool. Both clubs are first and second respectively.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs West Bromwich Albion

Wolverhampton’s poor form lingered as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Molineux.

They will look to get back to winning ways as they face a less threatening side in West Brom.

The Baggies are yet to win an away game this season and have picked just 3 points as visitors this season.

Both teams desperately need the win but Wolves are favourites as theyā€™re the better of the two teams.

Leeds United vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Marcelo Bielsa will be keen to see his men get back to winning ways after consecutive losses to Spurs and Crawley in the FA cup.

The Seagulls desperately need a win as theyā€™re getting closer to relegation. They have recorded just one win in their last 16 Premier League games. That win came in a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in November.

Leeds United have started the year poorly but thereā€™s no doubt they are capable of blowing Brighton away.

West Ham United vs Burnley

West Ham ended a 4 match winless run against Everton on Wednesday. They would look to build on that as they host Burnley at the London Stadium.

Burnley lost at home to Manchester United but didnā€™t suffer major impact as a result of the loss. Theyā€™d, however, look to get back to winning ways if theyā€™re to steer clear of the relegation zone.

Fulham vs Chelsea

Fulham has been gradually gaining points over the last few games to lift them out of the relegation zone. Theyā€™re almost out with just 2 points between them and Brighton in 17th place.

Itā€™s a good time to face Chelsea as they havenā€™t been at their best for the last couple of weeks.

Chelsea suffered defeat in their last 3 away outings and will hope to change that as they face Fulham.

Theyā€™d be desperate to get something out of this encounter as a defeat could see them drop out of the top 10.

Chelsea are favourites to win this encounter despite their form but Fulham have proven that they can grind out a point when needed even against the top sides. Plus, it’s a west London derby and the game could tilt either way.

Leicester City vs Southampton

The Foxes are unbeaten in 4 league games and will look to extend that run against Southampton, who are just 3 points behind them. They need to be at their best to make their poor home form, a thing of the past.

The Saints are under no pressure despite being on a winless run not quite long ago. However, they ended that with a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in their last encounter.

Their only issue is that star striker Danny Ings tested positive for Corona virus, making him unavailable for the clash.

Sheffield United vs Tottenham Hotspur

The Blades secured their first league victory of the season over Newcastle last weekend. They will want to build on that result as they try to climb their way out of the bottom of the table.

Sander Berge and Ollie McBurnie are however doubtful ahead of their clash against Spurs.

Tottenham was held to a draw by Fulham midweek and will want to get back to winning ways against bottom side Sheffield United.

Although they lost this fixture last season, Spurs remain favourites to get all 3 points as they are the better side in squad quality and league form.

Liverpool vs Manchester United

Without a win in their last 3 Premier League games, the Reds have lost their top spot to rivals Manchester United who now sit 3 points clear at the top of the table.

The defending champions are nowhere near their best but they are yet to lose at Anfield since April 2017. They also have a solid record against Manchester United in recent games.

Manchester United will hope to silence the doubters and show how serious they are in the title race this season. They have an incredible away record, with their last away defeat in the league coming against Liverpool last January.

Premier League Game Week 19 is where the Red Devils get to prove further that they have turned the corner. Ole Gunnar Solksjaerā€™s men have to exploit Liverpoolā€™s injuries and defensive issues to claim victory over their rivals and go 6 points clear of them.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace

Manchester City is on a 4 game-winning run in the league that saw them climb up to 3rd with a game in hand. The Citizens are back on form and are still very much in the title race.

They werenā€™t at their best against Brighton midweek but still managed a win which is a testament to how good they really are.

Players like Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero are expected to make a return to the starting line up which would be a massive boost for the side.

Palace held Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates, making them victorious in just 1 of their last 7 games. However, they havenā€™t lost at the Etihad in their last 2 outings.

Even so, City is still expected to clinch this match and extend their winning run.

Arsenal vs Newcastle United

Arsenal saw their winning run come to an end against Palace on Thursday but remain unbeaten in their last 4 league games.

They have an exceptional home record against the Magpies and would look to continue that run.

Newcastleā€™s loss midweek made them the first side to lose to the Blades this season. Theyā€™ve been in poor form and their last win was against West Brom in December.

Arsenal are favourites to earn all 3 points in this fixture as theyā€™ve been in better form recently.
