Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Liverpool
The Reds have not lost in the league at Wolves’ home ground for almost 30 years. But judging from their recent form, that could change.
However, you can’t rule them out because this is an away game for Liverpool, and they have not been bad in this aspect.
Also, they will ride on the back of their recent mid-week win in the Champions League. The confidence gained from that victory will boost their chances in this clash.
Prediction: 1-2
Newcastle vs Aston Villa
Both sides are going into the game on the back of goalless draws against Wolves and West Bromwich Albion respectively.
This game could produce some goals as Aston Villa won’t want to sit with Olie Watkins in attack.
But it remains unclear as to whether Callum Wilson will be back for Steve Bruce.
Aston Villa is still trying to maintain shape in the absence of their captain, Jack Grealish, who been the team’s creative force.
However Newcastle is worse off injury-wise. The Tyneside club will have to play this game without Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Miguel Almiron until April.
The odds are in favour of the Villains on this one.
Prediction: 0-2
Leeds vs Chelsea
Leeds will be looking for a win that they are unlikely to get. The Blues under Thomas Tuchel are now unbeaten in 11 games.
With one win in five games, Leeds has not been on a great run of form recently. Although they are not playing badly, they will definitely test Chelsea’s improved defense.
Prediction: 1-1
Crystal Palace vs West Bromwich Albion
After receiving a walloping from Spurs, Crystal Palace will need to pick themselves up and grind out a win against defensive West Brom.
Although they are still perfectly safe from relegation, The Eagles will want to rack up more points in the League.
The Baggies can get a win here. To do so, Sam Allardyce will want to keep things tight at the back as they have been doing in the past week.
However, it will be interesting to see how they plan to stop Wilfried Zaha, who is back for Palace.
Prediction: 2-0
Everton vs Burnley
After their 2-0 loss against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Everton must produce a win against Burnley. The last meeting between both sides ended in a draw at Turf Moor.
Everton’s home form has not been great, but they have a chance to nick a win against Burnley.
They will have to match Burnley physically, which is achievable. An Everton win is expected here because they have more quality than their visitors.
Prediction: 2-0
Fulham vs Manchester City
Fulham is currently on a good run of form, and they are playing well. In their fight against relegation, they will have to prove their mettle against classy Manchester City.
Scott Parker’s men were fantastic at Anfield last weekend and fully deserved their victory over Liverpool. It is now left for them to do the business against the Citizens.
A win will definitely take them out of the relegation zone which they have been fighting in the past weeks.
Manchester City returned to winning ways against Southampton on Wednesday after their long unbeaten run was ended by neighbours Manchester United last weekend. They will want to start another run against the Cottagers.
Beating Fulham will take them 17 points clear for a few hours as United and Leicester won’t play until Sunday. With five more wins, they will wrap up the title.
Prediction: 0-2
Southampton vs Brighton
This is expected to be another thriller between two teams that love to put the ball on the ground.
Scoring two against Manchester City will definitely give Southampton a boost against Brighton who lost to Leicester after going ahead at the weekend.
Brighton need to get past their high press if they are to get anything from this game because the Saints have a soft centre, and their backline is vulnerable.
Brighton must solve their goal-scoring problem, having produced some decent performances. They need to get a result here to avoid the relegation zone.
With just two points from their last five, Graham Potter’s men need to get at least a draw to stop the rot.
Prediction: 1-1
Leicester City vs Sheffield United
Having won their last encounter at Bramall Lane courtesy of Jamie Vardy’s late strike, Leicester City will be going into this encounter royally confident.
It is expected to be a victorious Premier League GameWeek 28 outing for Brendan Rodgers’ men despite their injuries.
Prediction: 2-0
Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur
The North London derby, like its Manchester equivalent in the previous game week, is one to look forward to. This match is the top game of Premier League Gameweek 28.
Presently, Tottenham is firing from all cylinders with goals from Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Gareth Bale, and Lucas Moura. Even Dele Alli seems to have found his scoring boot.
With four goals scored in each of their past four games, it will be difficult for the Gunners to stop Spurs from scoring at the Emirates.
Tottenham are going to Arsenal at a time when the hosts are finding consistency hard to come by. Although the Gunners have recently produced some good performances, one is not sure what to expect from week to week.
Prediction: 1-2
Manchester United v West Ham United
With a great result in their last Premier League outing, Manchester United must just continue pushing for the second spot.
It is left for them to replicate their result against City. It will be no easy feat because West Ham have been playing with grits and getting results.
The Hammers know that they have a shot at the top four with this, and they will want revenge for the 3-1 loss suffered in their last meeting against United.
With the form that West Ham is in, it is expected that they will bring a different sort of problem for United. So, the Red Devils should have answers to many of those problems as they did against City.
At Old Trafford, it is expected that United will attack while West Ham will hit from the counter. With their attacking threat, they are full of confidence and could end up getting a result here. This will be exciting for David Moyes.
It is expected to be a close encounter. It will be much livelier than when West Ham came to Old Trafford in the FA Cup last month.
Prediction: 2-1
