Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez netted his 100th and 101st Serie A goals as Inter Milan whitewashed Lecce 4-0 on Sunday.
Martinez broke the deadlock with a low finish in the 15th minute before Davide Frattesi scored the second.
26-year-old Martinez then grabbed his brace and his 101st Serie A goal with a brilliant strike in the second half. Defender Stefan de Vrij’s header completed the rout in the 67th minute.

Inter still lead the Italian Serie A table and yesterday’s victory restored their nine-point lead following Juventus (2nd) 3-2 win against Frosinone earlier on Sunday.

Inter Milan have now won all 10 competitive matches in 2024. Having been unscathed in the Serie A, the Supercoppa Italiana and Champions League so far this year.

With his latest feat, Martinez has now scored at least 20 goals in three successive Serie A seasons. He is eyeing the all-time record of 36 goals in a single campaign, set by Ciro Immobile and Gonzalo Higuain.
