He was a simple man who preached kindness and love with his acts. Those who felt his impact have been mourning him since his death was announced. Worshippers at his church in Ikotun, Lagos were in pain as they spoke about their spiritual leader.
Nigerians react to his death
āāThe passing of my brother TB Joshua saddens me deeply. At 3.00am this morning I was told by one of his daughters that this was fake news and I tweeted as much. Sadly I was misled. 5 minutes ago the same person called me and confirmed the story. @GazetteNGR was right and I am in pain.
One tribute reads: “He was a wonderful, kind, generous, wise, and loving man who was undoubtedly one of Godās āend-timeā generals and who did so much for those in need and the body of Christ. My family and I shall miss him dearly as he soars to the stars and takes his place amongst the angels and saints in Heaven.”

Another mourner says: āāThe Bible says āāto live is Christ and to die is gaināā. It says āāO grave where is thy power? O death, where is thy sting?āā Rest in peace Godās great general. You taught me the power and importance of faith, courage, love, and strength even in the most difficult times! I shall miss you.āā
@Funmicute tweeted, āāWe may not be directly impacted but for the fact others were impacted by him is enough to celebrate his good works even in death cos we are only remembered by what we have done.āā
Author and social commentator, J.J Omojuwa said, āāTB Joshua is a big loss to Nigeria and the Ikotun end of Lagos especially. His church is one of the major points of tourist attractions to Nigeria. And I canāt begin to imagine the impact of his death on businesses, people and the less privileged in that area. May he Rest in Peace.āā
Death is a price every living being must pay. Prophet TB Joshua has paid his price. More so, it is not how long we live but how well. The late preacher has passed on at age 57 but his impact will live in the hearts of those he has touched. May his soul rest in peace.
