Oyo Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan has announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He announced his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in his private office, Ojoo, Ibadan in a chat with reporters.
This is coming after Makinde had emerged the PDP’s flagbearer ahead of the 2023 election.
Facts had emerged that there have been frosty relationship between them.

His announcement came after weeks of speculations that he was going to leave the party and that has finally happened.
Makinde had reportedly dropped Olaniyan as his running mate for the 2023 governorship poll. But there is no official statement had been issued to that effect.
