Record Breaker: The Rasmus Hojlund time is underway

Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund has begun the year with improved form in front of goal. Despite his remarkable UCL outing with 6 goals across the group phase, it took him 15 games to get started in the English league.

Since grabbing the 82nd minute winner at Old Trafford against the villains, he’s now found the back of the net in six straight matches in the domestic league.

Just a fortnight after his birthday, Rasmus Hojlund sits in illustrious company and passes the likes of Joe Willock, Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Thierry Henry to become the outright leader as the youngest Premier League player to score in six straight games.

The Danish forward opened the scoring just under 40 seconds of kick off at the Kenilworth road and added a second with a clever touch on Alejandro Garnacho’s volley on the eight minute mark.

His opener also saw him become Manchester United’s fastest goalscorer in an away fixture in the premier league.

Erik Ten Hag’s side has enjoyed an unbeaten start to 2024 and his topman leads the pack for the most goal involvements in the premier league this year (6 goals, 2 assists).

Hojlund’s up in form comes at the best possible time as the club begins to enter a new phase of leadership under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
