The management of Vibe By Ann’s, a restaurant located at Atabara Street, Wuse, Abuja, has vowed to take legal action against Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as chef Hilda Baci over the denial of pre-planned meet-and-greet.
The company in an e-flier shared on its Instagram page showed that Chef Baci planned a meet-and-greet to charge N25,000 for personal meet-ups, live cooking, and food tasting in the restaurant on June 24, 2023.
But NRTC reported that Chef Baci, last Friday, denied charging such an amount after some netizens countered her.

Reacting to her denial, Vibe By Ann’s management in a statement on Monday said the arrangements for the event were already concluded and both parties had agreed to put out publications for the event after an advanced payment was made to Chef Baci.
NRTC gathered that the management also shared the receipt of N3 million paid to Baci.
The statement read: “We regret to inform you that the highly anticipated event, scheduled to take place on 24th June 2023, has been cancelled. We extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you, our esteemed customers.

“Arrangements for this event were already concluded, as both parties agreed to put out publications for the event after an advanced payment was made to Miss Hilda Bassey.
“However, Hilda Bassey suddenly denied publicly having any prior knowledge of the event. Her conduct has negatively affected our reputation as a brand. Consequently, we are taking all necessary legal steps towards ensuring that justice is seen to have been done in this matter.”
“We understand that many of you have been looking forward to this event, and we share in your disappointment. Our team has been working tirelessly to explore all possible alternatives to ensure the event could proceed as planned, but unfortunately, we have been left with no other viable options but to take the steps as enumerated herein.
“We would like to express our gratitude for your continued patronage and understanding. We deeply value our relationship with each and every one of you, please accept our sincere apologies once again, and we hope to have the opportunity to entertain you with another remarkable event this summer.”
