Rockstar has delayed GTA VI to May 26, 2026, missing its original 2025 release window.
The company announced its original 2025 deadline before briefly mentioning quality standards as the cause behind the postponement without providing any further information about the delay.
Rockstar Games set their goal as delivering beyond player expectations which led to a necessary time extension to reach projected quality standards of upcoming content.
The developer expressed gratitude toward waiting fans because they planned to meet their expectations about the franchise’s professional heritage.
