Rodri makes football history following Manchester City’s league win

Spanish midfielder Rodri has emerged as the player with the longest unbeaten run in club football history.

He achieved this feat after playing his 74th game without defeat. It is now the longest unbeaten streak in club football history.

Rodri reached the incredible milestone the same day City defeated West Ham United 3-1 at the Etihad to win the 2023/24 English Premier League title with the midfielder netting the third.

Pep Guardiola’s side finished the season with 91 points, two ahead of closest challengers Arsenal. The Gunners defeated Everton 2-1 in their final game of the season.

Foden made a strong case for himself just a day after winning the Premier League Player of the Season award. His superb performance put City in a very superb position to win the Premier League title after the first half.

Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus scored West Ham’s goal of the afternoon, proving only to be a consolation.

History man Rodri then scored a minute before the hour mark, capping his sensational record with a fantastic strike.
