Sabinus opens up on heartbreak, says love can be cruel

Popular Nigerian comedian, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, widely known as Sabinus, has shared a painful personal experience about love, revealing that a former partner left him despite his lavish displays of affection.

Speaking during a recent TikTok livestream with social media personality Sandra Benede, Sabinus described love as “cruel,” saying he understands the emotional turmoil TikTok star Peller is currently facing after his breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis.

The comedian noted that he has gone through a similar ordeal and urged the public not to judge Peller harshly, especially following the emotional outbursts and car accident that reportedly followed the breakup.

Sabinus recounted how he once went as far as gifting a Range Rover to a woman out of love, only for the relationship to end afterward. According to him, the experience left him with deep regret.

He stressed that heartbreak can push people into difficult emotional states and appealed for empathy rather than criticism toward those affected.

“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller,” Sabinus said.

Meanwhile, News Round The Clock recalls that the comedian confirmed the end of his marriage to his wife and mother of his child, Ciana Chapman, during a TikTok livestream in December 2025.

Sabinus and Chapman got married in a private ceremony in 2023, but the union reportedly lasted just over a year.
