Liverpool fans have every reason to celebrate as Mohamed Salah has officially signed a new contract. This new deal ensures the Egyptian forward will remain at Anfield beyond the 2024-25 season.
Salah’s commitment comes in the middle of yet another incredible campaign. With 32 goals across all competitions this term, he leads the Premier League scorers chart with 27 goals.
Additionally, the 31-year-old has provided 22 assists, proving once again he is more than just a finisher. These combined numbers have helped drive Liverpool’s pursuit of silverware and reignited their attacking firepower.
Speaking to the club’s website, Salah said: “Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.”

Since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has consistently been a key figure in Liverpool’s success story. In fact, he now ranks third in the club’s all-time top scorers list with 243 goals in 394 matches.

Many doubted he’d remain at Liverpool, believing the winger might eventually give in to the SPL’s lucrative offers. However, his latest commitment to the Reds puts every speculation to rest, at least for now.
By extending his stay, Salah has now backed new head coach Arne Slot in the club’s continued push for major trophies. Furthermore, this news will surely lift the squad’s morale heading into a crucial stretch of the season.
To cap it off, Salah addressed the fans with heartfelt words: “I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. With his future secured, Salah is poised to lead Liverpool into another golden chapter while chasing more records and triumphs.
Liverpool presently top the Premier League table ahead of Arsenal with six matchdays to go and are poised to lift the top-flight title in May.
