Sean Dyche’s Everton record 4th consecutive win in EPL following 10 points deduction as Man City settle for draw against Crystal Palace

On Saturday, December 16th, Sean Dyche‘s Everton went on to win their fourth consecutive match in the English Premier League after defeating Vincent Kompany’s Burnley 2-0 away.

Two first half goals from Amadou Onana and Michael Keane made sure Sean Dyche‘s side walked away with all three points.

Everton has been impressive since they suffered a ten-point deduction from the English Premier League officiating body, without the deduction, Everton ought to be in ninth position.

Equally, this this Everton’s eighth league win of the season already matching last yearā€™s tally as they continue to climb away from trouble.

The loss would only deepen Vincent Kompany’s worries, as his side, Burnley have only managed to take eight points from 17 matches.

Elsewhere, the reigning English Premier League champions, Manchester City threw away a two-goal lead against Crystal Palace as they settled for a 2-all draw.

Following their elimination from the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League campaign, Newcastle United bounced back with an emphatic 3-0 win against a Fulham that has scored 13 goals in their last three matches.

Goals from Cole Palmer and Nico Jackson for former EPL champions, Chelsea made sure Chelsea returned to winning ways against a relegation-threatened Sheffield United side.

In the opening match of week 17, the referee had to abandon the game between Bournemouth and Luton Town following the Luton’s captain, Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest.

The Premier League clash was abandoned after the Hatters skipper received medical treatment on the field midway through the second half at the Vitality Stadium.

He was eventually stretchered off the field to applause from all sides of the ground, with the players also taken off the field.

Referee Simon Hooper then decided to officially call the game off.
