Popular singer Niniola Apata has cleared up rumours claiming she got married in secret.
Speculation had grown that her reduced public appearances were linked to a hidden marriage.
During a recent interview with Yanga FM in Lagos, Niniola explained that she is not married and denied keeping any union private to protect her career or music engagements.
She made it clear that her personal life is her own, and she is free to speak openly about it.

She said, “I don’t care whatever anyone does or says [regarding my personal life]. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever it is I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married.”
The 38-year-old also addressed questions about why she has not worked with her younger sister, singer Teni.
Niniola noted that a collaboration will happen when the timing and circumstances are right.
She stressed that while music is a passion, it is also a business, and professional decisions are separate from family ties.
