Abdulraheem Suleiman has joined Latvian top-flight side FK Metta, leaving Nigerian club Sporting Lagos for the next step in his European journey.
The midfield maestro has been one of the standout performers in the Nigeria National League, earning a reputation for his passing range and composure on the ball.
His move to Latvia is a direct pathway to European football, following the well-trodden route taken by several Nigerian talents who use Baltic or Scandinavian leagues as a springboard.

Suleiman has long been tipped as a future Super Eagles midfielder. While Nigeria may never produce another Jay-Jay Okocha, Suleiman is the natural successor to Iwobi in the national team setup when the time comes.
For Sporting Lagos, the transfer continues their model of developing talent and exporting to Europe. The club has already seen several graduates move abroad since its formation.
