Box pleats skirt

To achieve this type of skirt, you need to make a flat double pleat one facing right and the other left. You then fold the fabric on either side of the edge so that it looks like a box. This pleats adds volume to skirts and it is suitable for wool, denim and cotton materials. Box Pleats skirts looks nicely structured that accentuates the waistline.

Godet skirt

Godet skirts are characterized with the ā€˜ā€™godetā€ style, that is a triangular fabric inserted into a garment to give it ā€˜ā€™swayingā€ look. The flared shape has a triangular garment inserted at even intervals around the hem- it can be inserted into a slash or a seam.

Handkerchief skirt

It reigned at first in the 1930s but it is back now in the 21st century. Just like its name, it looks like a handkerchief. To achieve this look, the fabric is held at the center and it then looks like it has different corners. Moreover, skirt style looks stylish because it has fabric panels of different lengths sewn together.

4. Ruffled skirt

This skirt style has ruffles – decorative gathered -fabric either at the hem or at the side of the skirt. Ruffles are also called frills, ruffles, flounce, froufrou, furbelow. A ruffled skirt can be combined with other skirt design- it just has to have ruffles on it.

5. Sarong Skirt

Where are my beach lovers at? Sarong skirts are like wrap skirts common among the Indonesia archipelagoes. It is a loose skirt made out of long garments loosely worn around the waist. Designers have found a way to tweak this skirt style to not be only a beach themed clothing again. You can now style them for different occasions.
