Super Eagles midfielder Nwachukwu swaps NPFL club for Ethiopian Coffee SC

Bendel Insurance midfielder Divine Nwachukwu has joined top-flight club Ethiopian Coffee SC. He becomes the latest star to leave the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

This comes after the Ethiopian outfit, in a post on Instagram, announced Nwachukwu has signed a two-year contract with them.

The talented midfielder also took to social media to announce the transfer with his fans and well-wishers congratulating him.

In his statement, the player expressed his excitement about the new challenge:

“A new chapter begins! I am delighted to have signed with Ethiopian Coffee SC. Can’t wait to get started and make a difference on the field. Thank you to everyone who’s been with me along the way.”

The transfer comes following the release of Nwachukwu and 12 other players by NPFL side Bendel Insurance earlier this month.

Bendel Insurance posted a heartfelt farewell message on their social media platforms:

“From your first match to your last, you’ve always played with heart and passion, @Divineho17. Thank you for the great memories and your unwavering commitment to the club. We wish you nothing but success as you take on this new challenge! Keep shining!”

Nwachukwu completes his move to Ethiopian Coffee SC after two stellar seasons with Bendel Insurance. His exceptional form last year earned him a call-up to Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles.

Joining Ethiopian Coffee SC presents a fresh challenge and the chance to shine in a new league. The club, a dominant force in Ethiopian football, hopes Nwachukwuā€™s arrival can improve their domestic pedigree and help them attain success on the continent.
