Super Eagles touch down in Morocco Thursday as AFCON 2025 quest enters crucial phase

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set to arrive in Fés, Morocco, on Thursday as preparations intensify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The delegation will travel from Cairo aboard a chartered flight.

Eric Chelle’s men have been based in the Egyptian capital since Sunday.

Before departing Egypt, however, the three-time African champions will test their readiness in a high-profile pre-AFCON friendly. The Super Eagles face the Pharaohs of Egypt at the Cairo International Stadium on Tuesday.

The encounter is expected to provide Chelle with valuable answers, especially regarding balance and combinations. Moreover, it presents a chance to measure Nigeria’s intensity against elite continental opposition.
