Nigeria’s Super Eagles had their final training session ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali on Friday.
The team trained for the first time under new head coach Eric Chelle on Tuesday, as the Nigerian contingent prepare for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

All 23 players expected ahead of the Rwanda match was available for the training on Thursday. New England Revolution midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, who did not participate in the first training session, was present for the last session earlier today.

Also, Jordan Torunarigha, who did not make the initial 23-man squad, was called up to replace Bayer Leverkusen’s Nathan Tella.
Eric Chelle has taken as a priority, the concentration of his players. His restriction of journalists from observing the full session of his trainings is to help his players maintain their focus.

After the Rwanda game, the Super Eagles will travel to Uyo where they’ll face Zimbabwe for another World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, March 25.
The West Africans sit fifth in Group C of the qualifiers having failed to win any of their previous four matches. The team has lost once and drawn thrice. Rwanda on the other hand occupy top spot in the group with seven points.
