Following the suspension of the strike embarked on by the Academics Staff Union of Universities(ASUU), Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State has announced the resumption date for its second semester 2021/2022 academic session.
In a circular obtained by The Trumpet, signed by the institution Registrar, Olugbenga Arajulu, the University would be reopened for academic activities on 17th October 2022.
Recall that the university joined ASUU strike on the 14th of February, 2022 which lasted for eight months.

The strike was suspended after an order of the court of appeal.
According to the circular, students who are yet to pay their school fees, made part-payment are to pay up the outstanding school fees and complete registration of courses for the second semester 2020/2021 academic session.
Also, students who had paid fully were enjoined to register for their courses as lectures would commence immediately.
The circular added that registration for courses should be done on or before midnight of 19th November 2022.
The circular added that students should contact their respective Heads of Department or Level Advisers for further enquiries on course registration.
“On behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olugbenga E. Ige, the management welcomes back all students to the Campus and wishes them success in their studies”, the circular added
