Afrobeats star Omah Stanley Didia, widely known as Omah Lay, has shared his thoughts on relationships within the Nigerian music industry, describing the space as one driven by strong egos.
During a recent episode of the Nando Leaks podcast, the singer spoke candidly about his personality, noting that he considers himself “weird” and does not rely on validation from others. According to him, this mindset has naturally limited his social circle.
Omah Lay explained that he keeps only a few close friends, people who genuinely understand his perspective and journey.
He further admitted that while he tends to be reserved, he also has a strong sense of self, which can make it difficult to build friendships.
