Halima Abubakar says there is bullying in Nollywood

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar, says there are bullies in the Nigerian movie industry and has threatened to expose those who bully actors and actresses.

The actress was lending her voice to the demand for justice for 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni who was allegedly tortured to death by senior students at the highbrow Dowen College located in Lekki area of Lagos.

Halima who wrote on her Instagram page on Tuesday, recalled how she repeated a class in secondary school because of bullies, adding that she also faced bullying while she was trying to break into the Nollywood movie industry and she would not mind mentioning them.

ā€œI pray an arrest has been made by today. When I talk about bullies, believe me, they are everywhere. No one is safe in their hatred; we are now adults, still not much is done. Young Sylvesterā€™s death will be the last. Am a survivor of bullying,ā€ she wrote.

ā€œTrust me, even if a governor owns the school, justice must be served. The perpetrators should be brought out.
