Nigeria President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Victor Oshimen for winning the Serie A trophy with Napoli, an Italy football club.
Tinubu via his Facebook page said Oshimen has continued the fine tradition of Nigeria’s footballing excellence on the global stage.
The former Lagos State governor added that Nigerians are very proud of the striker.

Tinubu wrote: “I think we can all agree that there was another coronation in Italy where our son, Victor Osimhen, claimed the crown as the new King of Serie A! The real deal, or idan gangan as younger folks may describe him; Victor has continued the fine tradition of Nigeria’s footballing excellence on the global stage. We are all proud of him and wish him well in what is already a remarkable career.”
Recall that Oshimen broke the Serie A top goal scorer for a season as well as the most goals scored by an African player with 22 goals.
Victor Osimhen netted the goal that drew Napoli level against Udinese and delivered the Partenopei’s first Scudetto after 33 years and their third ever.

He also provided four assists in 29 league games to help the team maintain a 16 points lead with five games left.
