Breaking: Tinubu sworn-in as Nigeria’s 16th President


Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been sworn-in as Nigeria’s 16th President on Monday, May 29 at Eagle Square in the nation’s capital city, Abuja.

According to reports, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola at exactly 10:28 AM and 10:38 AM respectively administered the oath of office to Tinubu and Vice-president Kashim Shettima.

The swearing-in ceremony of the former Lagos State Governor and his deputy was witnessed by his predecessors, Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan.

Also witnessed the oath-taking were Tinubu’s wife, Remi; Shettima’s wife, Nana; Buhari’s wife, Aisha.

At the inauguration ceremony were leaders across the world 

Recall that Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress, APC won the February 25th Presidential election, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the People Democratic Party, PDP, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP.

Tinubu defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election, gathering a total of 8,794,726 votes.
