Twitter removes Tinubu’s verification badge

Popular microblogging platform, Twitter, has removed the verification badge of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

The verification badge designed for government officials was removed on Tuesday. 

This was coming after NRTC reported that the verification badge attached to the immediate past Vice-President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo’s account was removed on Monday.

However, NRTC checked that of the ex-president, Muhammadu Buhari, and Vice-President, Kashim Shettima — discovered they remained  

As of press time, Twitter has not provided the rationale behind the removal of Tinubu’s certification tag.
