Ambassador Mohammed, a distinguished career diplomat since joining the NIA in 1995, has served in numerous roles, including as Director and head of the Nigerian mission to Libya.

His extensive experience includes postings in North Korea, Pakistan, Sudan, and the State House, Abuja.

Mr Adeola Ajayi, the new DSS Director-General, has advanced through the ranks to become Assistant Director-General, with experience as State Director in Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi.

These appointments follow the resignation of the previous NIA and DSS chiefs.

President Tinubu expects the new leaders to enhance the performance of the two agencies, leveraging their experience to address security challenges through improved collaboration with other agencies and alignment with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

He also expressed gratitude to the outgoing Directors-General for their service and wished them well in their future endeavours.
