Tinubu appoints new leadership in Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy Sector

President Bola Tinubu has named eleven (11) new CEOs for agencies in the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy.

In a statement, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, revealed the appointments.

The appointees include Tola Akerele as Director-General of the National Theatre, Dr. Shaibu Husseini as Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board, and Mr. Obi Asika as Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture.

Others are Aisha Adamu Augie as Director-General of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture, Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan as Chief Conservator of the National War Museum, Ahmed Sodangi as Director-General of the National Gallery of Art, and Chaliya Shagaya as Director-General of the National Institute of Archeology and Museums Studies.

Additionally, Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana is appointed as Artistic Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria, Otunba Biodun Ajiboye as Director-General of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation, Ali Nuhu as Managing-Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, and Ramatu Abonbo Mohammed as Director-General of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments.

President Tinubu has instructed the appointees to carry out their duties with the utmost professionalism, diligence, and patriotism, aiming to enhance the vibrancy and strength of the creative sector.
