President Bola Tinubu has appointed Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, announced that Mrs. Walson-Jack’s appointment will take effect on August 14, 2024.
Appointed as a Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017, Mrs. Walson-Jack has served in several ministries.
She will succeed the current Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, who is set to retire on August 13, 2024.

President Tinubu expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Head of Service for her service and urged the incoming Head of Service to perform her duties with innovation, integrity, and strict adherence to the rules and regulations of the Civil Service of the Federation.
