President Bola Tinubu has announced plans to unveil the National Values Charter, already approved by the Federal Executive Council, in the first quarter of 2025.
In his New Year message to Nigerians, Tinubu stated his intention to launch an ambitious national orientation campaign aimed at fostering patriotism, inspiring love for the country, and rallying citizens together.
According to him, the National Values Charter will promote mutual commitments between the government and citizens, fostering trust and cooperation among the countryās diverse population and strengthening the relationship between the government and the people.
Tinubu emphasised that while Nigeria’s reforms are foundational and far-reaching, their success depends on shared values, a common identity, and unconditional love for the nation.
He also disclosed that a Youth Confab will commence in the first quarter of 2025, highlighting the government’s commitment to youth inclusiveness and investment in their role as nation-builders.
āThe Ministry of Youth will soon announce the modalities for selecting representatives from Nigeriaās vibrant youth population”, he said.

The president urged Nigerians to believe in themselves and remain steadfast in their faith in the country.
He also called on governors and local council chairpersons to collaborate with the central government in seizing emerging opportunities in agriculture, livestock, and tax reforms to drive national progress.
Commending governors who have embraced the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative by launching CNG-powered public transportation, Tinubu also applauded those integrating electric vehicles into the national energy mix as part of Nigeria’s energy transition efforts.
