Tinubu, wife celebrate Pastor Adeboye at 84

President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi have issued a tribute to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, as he marks his 84th birthday.

In a statehouse press statement released yesterday, they described the renowned clergyman as one of Nigeria’s “greatest gifts” and a “spiritual fortress” who consistently intercedes for the nation.

They highlighted that Pastor Adeboye’s influence extends far beyond the realm of religious ministry.

They commended his wide-ranging contributions to Nigeria across multiple sectors.

They recognised his humanitarian interventions in philanthropy and healthcare, highlighting the impact of his efforts on vulnerable communities.

They also acknowledged his commitment to education and economic empowerment, noting the church’s significant role in developing human capital.

Furthermore, they praised his patriotic zeal and unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s overall growth and national progress.

“His humility is genuine, and his wisdom runs deep beyond the ordinary,” the statement read, noting that his teachings over the last 50 years have transformed lives across multiple generations and international borders.

As Pastor Adeboye celebrates his milestone on March 2, the President joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, the global RCCG community, and the wider Body of Christ in expressing gratitude for the cleric’s “exceptional life of impact.”

They offered prayers for the octogenarian’s future, asking for divine health and continued strength as he serves in the “Lord’s vineyard.”
