Top football action to look forward to in Europe

As the English Premier League and some other leagues go on winter break, there are some top actions to look forward to across other top European Leagues.

Sevilla is on the loook out for six La Liga victories in a row. They will have to achive this when away from to Osasuna on Monday night.

Currently fourth in the table, Julen Lopetegui’s side is one point behind third-placed Barcelona. They still fancy the chance of fighting for the La Liga trophy.

Osasuna on the other hand have been in good form, rising to 12th position courtesy of back-to-back victories in Spain’s top flight.

Sevilla could be held to a draw here by a team looking at his back, knowing fully well that their next game is against Barcelona.

Barcelona v Athletico Madrid

This is no doubt the clash of the week in the Spanish La Liga.

Both teams occupying the 4th and fifth spots respectively need to win but a draw won’t be a bad result here.

Having won their last games, it is expected to be a tight affair at Camp Nou.

Real Madrid v Granada

The league leaders would want to widen the gap and return back to winning ways.

Having played a 2-2 draw against Elche last time out, it is expected that Carlo Ancelotti’s men will rise up to the occasion and pick maximum points here.

But they will have to be impressive against a Granada side that can get results from any team.

Madrid is also plying Granada at a time they recently recorded a loss.

Granda on the other hand knows that they are not safe yet. But this looks like a straight home win for Los Blancos.

Italian Serie A

Inter Milan v AC Milan

This is going to be another test for the defending champions to pass.

On paper, the Nerazzurri has what it takes to beat fellow city rivals. But one can’t rule out Stefano Pioli’s men bringing out something from the hat.

Inter have not had a problem scoring with the goals being shared among the players. It is not surprising to see a +36 goals difference to Milan’s 32.

This clash has goals written all over it, but i see an Inter win here.

Fiorentina v Lazio

This match could bring about a gap between both teams that shares the same point on the Serie A table.

Now that the transfer of Vlahovic to Juventus have been completed, it is expected that Viola can now concentrate to fight for European places.

Lazio have not been impressive this season, especially without their talisman, Ciro Immobile.

A draw is expected here in a clash that will see goals.
